Ethan Giroux
Ethan Giroux - Leading Sacred Heart to victory by averaging over 30 points per game in the Kawartha Classic, including a stunning 47 point performance in the second game, it's no surprise that Ethan Giroux was named "Monster of the Tournament." An outstanding outside shooter with the ability to put the ball on the floor and get his teammates open looks, Ethan is a deadly offensive weapon who constantly draws the opposition's best defender. His work ethic is obvious through his constant desire to improve his game through sheer determination and practice. Ethan is a truly remarkable player.

Elijah Morris is a talented point guard. He is a threat to shoot, drive, or pass. While consistently leading his team in points, he also makes his teammates better around him with the way he distributes the ball. He led his team to another county championship and a 1-1 record at the Eastern Ontario championships.

As a grade 9 point guard, Will Bellamy led his Perth Collegiate Blue Devils to an Eastern Ontario (EOSSAA) championship.
Will's talent makes the game fast and exciting. He is a deadly accurate 3 point shooter andan excellent passer. Will led his team in scoring and assists.
The future is bright for Will Bellamy and his Blue Devil Basketball program.

Lucas Ramagnano is a deadly outside shooter who can create for himself as well as play off the ball. Never one to shy away from a challenge and always looking to improve, he is an extremely dedicated player.

Owen McRoberts is a Gr. 10 student that has been an important part of the Orillia SS Junior Boys Basketball Team for the past 2 years. He is a reliable perimeter shooter, who is very exciting to watch. He prides himself on being a strong defensive player. He is constantly working to improve his ability to slash and get to the rim. Owen is quick up and down the floor and is always a threat to score on the break. Owen was named to the all-star team at the annual North Bay Tomahawk Tournament and most recently named tournament MVP at the RezHoops Invitational. Owen is proud to be selected to represent Ontario at the North American Indigenous Games in Toronto this July.
Josh Aitken had an outstanding season for the CCI Wolves in 2016-17. He is a true team player and a leader in all aspects of the game. He was a starter in grade nine, but he became a stand-out player this year on both ends of the floor. On defense, he showed a high level of athleticism and his intensity was a great example for others. On offense, Josh improved his shooting and became a legitimate and consistent threat from all areas of the floor. He made several key 3-point shots near the end of games during the season. To top it all off, Josh is basketball-smart and an extremely coachable young man. Congratulations on this well-deserved recognition Josh!
Andre Stevens is a dynamic Point Guard for the SPSS Saints who is able to both drive to the bucket and finish at the rim or distribute the ball to teammates as they run the open floor. Andre's scoring talent was on display throughout the tournament as he led the Saints with a 15 ppg average, but just as important were his defensive rebounds and his instincts to jump the passing lanes to get his teammates playing a fast and exciting transition game. Andre carried his exemplary play from the tournament right through the end of the season with the Saints capturing both Kawartha region and COSSA junior boys titles this year.

Aaron Armitage is a 6'4'' grade 9 who played basketball at Pickering High for the Grade 9 team. Aaron is a hard-working student, and an exceptionally hard working athlete. Football is Aaron's main sport, and he will be pursuing his dream of playing football on the bigger stage next year at Trinity Prawling Prep School in New York State. -- Congratulations
